FunFam 6780: UPF0434 protein YcaR

There are 2 EC terms in this cluster

Please note: EC annotations are assigned to the full protein sequence rather than individual protein domains. Since a given protein can contain multiple domains, it is possible that some of the annotations below come from additional domains that occur in the same protein, but have been classified elsewhere in CATH.

Note: The search results have been sorted with the annotations that are found most frequently at the top of the list. The results can be filtered by typing text into the search box at the top of the table.

EC Term Annotations Evidence
Tetraacyldisaccharide 4'-kinase. [EC: 2.7.1.130]
ATP + (2-N,3-O-bis((3R)-3-hydroxytetradecanoyl)-beta-D-glucosaminyl)- (1->6)-(2-N,3-O-bis((3R)-3-hydroxytetradecanoyl)-alpha-D-glucosaminyl phosphate) = ADP + (2-N,3-O-bis((3R)-3-hydroxytetradecanoyl)-4-O-phospho- beta-D-glucosaminyl)-(1->6)-(2-N,3-O-bis((3R)-3-hydroxytetradecanoyl)- alpha-D-glucosaminyl phosphate).
  • Involved with EC 2.3.1.129 and 2.4.1.182 in the biosynthesis of the phosphorylated glycolipid, lipid A, in the outer membrane of Escherichia coli.

Isoamylase. [EC: 3.2.1.68]
Hydrolysis of (1->6)-alpha-D-glucosidic branch linkages in glycogen, amylopectin and their beta-limit dextrins.
  • Also readily hydrolyzes amylopectin.
  • Differs from EC 3.2.1.41 and EC 3.2.1.142 by its inability to hydrolyze pullulan, and by limited action on alpha-limit dextrins.
  • Maltose is the smallest sugar it can release from an alpha-(1->6)- linkage.
