The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_2_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was: waiting to be named.

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Putative Large Serine Recombinase; Chain B, Domain 2

Available PDBs with domains in this superfamily correspond to the C-terminal domain of Large Serine Recombinases (LSR). According to the literature this C-terminal domain is composed of two structural domain, a recombinase domain (RD) and a zinc-nucleated domain (ZD), both of which are connected by a 8-residue linker to give the structure of the representative domain for this superfamily.

The name for this superfamily was therefore assigned combined this information with that provided by the different UniProt-SwissProt entries.
