Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Beta-microseminoprotein (PSP94) domain

This superfamilly is represented by beta-microseminoproteins (MSPs), also known as PSP94 (prostate secretory protein of 94 amino acid residues). MSPs are small non-glycosylated proteins, rich in disulfide bonds. It was first isolated as a major protein from human seminal plasma. Currently the functions of this protein are poorly understood.
