Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: LarA, N-terminal domain

LarA is an Ni-dependent lactate racemase and other Lar proteins act as accessory proteins (B, C and E) for LarA activation. LarA contains 18 beta-strands and 16 alpha-helices arranged into two domains of similar size, connected by hinges. This entry represents the N-terminal domain of LarA PMID:24710389.
