Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Exo84p, N-terminal helical domain

This superfamily represents the N-terminal helical region of the exocyst component Exo84. The exocyst is a large complex that is required for tethering vesicles at the final stages of the exocytic pathway in all eukaryotes. Exocyst subunits are composed of mostly helical modules strung together into long rods PMID:16249794.
