 +The CATH database is constantly being updated through automated algorithms and manual curation.

 +The most up-to-date annotations can be found in the [[data:index | CATH daily snapshots]] where we provide a limited amount of information (domain boundaries and superfamily assignments) for the very latest snapshot of the current database.

 +We also provide major releases (CATH-Plus) where we take a branch of the database
 +through the full release process: adding internal checks, associating functional and sequence annotations, 
 +creating datasets, and so on.

 +We spent a great deal of effort identifying and correcting errors such as incorrectly chopped chains and misassigned domains. This meant that a number of homologous superfamilies (and folds) were merged with other nodes or removed as CATH domains were rechopped or reassigned.
