Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: DnaA, N-terminal domain

This entry represents the N-terminal domain of DnaA, a protein involved in the initiation of bacterial chromosomal replication. It is known to have a number of interaction partners, including replication regulators and DNA helicase PMID:25041308. It has an a-a-b-b-a-b motif, which is similar to that of the K homology (KH) domain PMID:17420252.
