The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_3_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was named:

FHIPEP family, domain 1

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: FHIPEP family, domain 1

According to the literature, members of the structural domains which comprise this superfamily correspond to the structure of FHIPEP protein family, acronym which stands for Flagellar/Hr/Invasion Proteins Export Pore. This family is made up of several proteins all of which are part of the T3SS. This domain is annotated in Pfam as a FHIPEP family (PFAM:PF00771). However, Pfam annotates this as a single chain domain whilst according to CATH it is comprised of 4 subdomains. Thus, the term domain 1 has been included for specificity.
