MmpS1-5, C-terminal soluble domain
".

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: MmpS1-5, C-terminal soluble domain

This superfamily includes the C-terminal soluble domain characterised in MmpS4 from Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but is also present in other transport accessory proteins, including MmpS1-5 PMID:11891304. They are part of an export system required for biosynthesis and secretion of siderophores, and are essential for virulence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis PMID:23431276.

MmpS4 possesses an N-terminal transmembrane (TM) helix and a C-terminal soluble domain.
