The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_2_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was: waiting to be named.

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: FTO C-terminal domain

This superfamily is made up of 4 alpha helices in a bundle.

One end of the helix bundle interacts with the N-terminal domain of FTO, and it has been suggested that the CTD plays a role in stabilising the NTD's conformation since the NTD only exhibits enzymatic activity when co-expressed with the CTD.
