The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_2_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was: waiting to be named.

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Phospholipase B-like, domain 2

Even though the percentage of shared residues of the representative domain for this superfamily with the Pfam Phospholipase B is almost of 100%, the percentage of shared proteins drops to 24.2 percentage. Therefore, the name for this protein has been chosen according to available literature on this structure PMID:19706171.

Although both Pfam and InterPro describe this as a single domain protein, it appears in CATH as composed by two distinct structural domains each of which represent a different superfamily.
