Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Coenzyme B12-Dependent Enzyme linker domain

Coenzyme B12 or adenosylcobalamin (AdoCbl)-dependent enzymes are typical radical enzymes and form an adenosyl radical and Co(II) by homolytic cleavage of the cobalt-carbon (Co-C) bond of the coenzyme. This entry represents the linker domain of these enzymes. It is a beta-strand-rich domain connecting the swiveling domain and the ATPase domain [16338403].
