The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_3_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was named:

"
Photosystem II Pbs27
".

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Photosystem II Pbs27

According to the literature, members of the structural domains which comprise this superfamily correspond to the structure of Psb27 a highly conserved component of photosystem II. Available data suggests the involvement of this protein in the PSII repair cycle, whose aim is to continuously replace photo damaged protein indicating the key role of Pbs27 in PSII biogenesis and repair PMID:19697958.
