The name of this superfamily has been modified since the most recent official CATH+ release (v4_3_0). At the point of the last release, this superfamily was named:

"
Intraflagellar transport protein 81, N-terminal domain
".

Functional Families

Overview of the Structural Clusters (SC) and Functional Families within this CATH Superfamily. Clusters with a representative structure are represented by a filled circle.

Superfamily: Intraflagellar transport protein 81, N-terminal domain

The name has been given based on abundance of UniProt keyword pairs which undoubtedly show that members of this superfamily are found in the intraflagellar transport protein 81 further backed by the fact that the representative domain for this superfamily maps extremely well to the InterPro family intraflagellar transport protein 81.

The term N-terminal domain has been included based on available literature PMID:23990561 which clearly shows this structure corresponds to the N-terminus of the cited protein.
